Ecological-based science fiction and horror doesn’t get nearly as much love as it should. Luckily there are at least a few books or movies every few years that help us scratch the urge to see not only animals, but the Earth itself fight back.
Some of our choices were obvious ones. Others might require a little more thought. Readers may disagree with our classifications as well, and that’s okay. While we hope to hit the broad strokes of recognizable eco-fic to whet the reader (or movie-goers) taste, we know we haven’t come close to covering the full spectrum offered up over the decades.
So peruse and feel free to tell us below what book or film you’re absolutely horrified that we didn’t include (and maybe we’ll pick them up and read/watch them!)
