Our Favorite Halloween Recs

A banner with the words The Top Ten Tuesday List on it. Even though everyday at Sci-Fi & Scary is Halloween, our calendar tells us that it’s almost actually Halloween! You know what that means: candy, costumes (although that may or may not be confined to Halloween itself) and horror…lots and lots of horror. If you’re looking for some good scares of the book or movie variety then look no further – The Coolthulhu Crew has got you covered.

  1. Ooooh, “The Wasp Factory.” Actually my least favorite Iain Banks book, but still nice to see him there.
Who else deserves a place? Maybe Kingsley Amis, “The Green Man.” It’s curious: more short story writers come to mind than novelists.

    • I will check him out, thanks!

So glad Joe Hill is on this list! I would’ve picked Heart-Shaped Box though! 😉

    • That is a great book as well! I also like his 20th Century Ghosts collection

  3. Stormi D Johnson

I have read a few of those, some are on my list and some I need to put on my list. 🙂

  4. Some stories never get old. And it looks like we enjoy a lot of the same authors. Great list. Thanks!
