The Pitch Wall

Here is where you will find Pitch Samples from marginalized creators who have asked Sci-Fi & Scary to help promote their work.

Click here for a guide to crafting a proper #pitmad Tweet.

Please note that Pitches are done for completed manuscripts, not for ideas.

Example of how this will appear on site:

Title: Wound Wrong

Pitch: Granted the chance to go back in time and do it all over again, but unable to shake off the damage done by her life, Ali’s body count begins to pile up before she’s even an adult again. Can her Fairy Godmother stop her before it’s too late? #A #H

(Up to) 300 Word Sample:

If you have the chance to live your life again, with all the knowledge of your ‘future’ life, would you do it? Most people would. A chance to do better, to live better, to be the prom king, the rich and famous, and so on. Occasionally it happens, you know.  The universe craps out it’s one random act of kindness per century or whatever and some Lucky Person has a chance to rewind their life. Ninety-nine percent of the time it works out pretty well, all things considered. I mean, it’s not a guarantee that your life is going to go perfect, but at least you have a chance to see what would happened if you had chosen to do even one or two things different.

But this story isn’t about all those times it generally worked out. This story is about the time that it went epically wrong, and Lucky Person 514,600,398 (maybe a slight exaggeration) was almost single-handedly responsible for destroying humanity.

She wasn’t evil. She was just too broken for a chance to do over to be a chance to do better. We didn’t realize it until it was almost too late. By the time we did the body count was admittedly impressive. If it wasn’t for the copious death and destruction, one could say it was also one hell of a ride.
