May 2019 Wrap-Up

Welcome to our fifth wrap-up of 2019. These will be posted on or around the first day of every month. It will be an easy reference for all of the reviews, guest posts, and articles done on the site, as well as shouting out sites that any of the Coolthulhu Crew have done guest posts/reviews on. If there is any news, it will be listed as well.
Note: * beside a title means it was an audiobook.

News

Look what our Snark Mistress, J.B. Rockwell, did!

We learned an important lesson this month. That we never, ever want to have to publicly call an author to the spot for bad behavior ever again. So, please, authors, be nice. It’s not that hard. Lilyn doesn’t need another few-days-long panic attack when a post goes viral and gets over 100,000 hits over a few days. (We recognize that most of the reason it made the impression it did was because Klein was 9-pages-worth-of-extra but still.) Please and thank you.

Note: The inclusion of DNFs (Did-Not-Finish). As you have seen, we’ve decided to publicly list the books or movies that we were considering reviewing for the site, but ultimately did not. We are doing this in effort to give a fuller picture of what we read/watch for the site. We will not be listing reasons for DNFs, nor will we be attaching reviewer names to particular novels.

DNFs do not mean we will no longer give negative reviews. It simply means that there are some books or movies that we decided not to finish for any one of a myriad of reasons.
