Coolthulhu Presents A New Book Spotlight On:

Circus of Horrors

Circus of Horrors

Synopsis: It is during the Great Depression and Fred Dodger’s Circus has had to once again high-tail it away from an engagement. There’s been another killing. The clowns and the murderous midgets don’t take nonsense from anyone. They are badly damaged people. The clowns hide their mutilated faces with clown makeup. The scars are reminders of their early years and the horrific abuse they suffered.

Fred cares a great deal about his people despite the cannibalism. He takes good care of all of them, especially his father. Old Pa keeps a trunk with some very special souvenirs. Only his son knows his secret. The old man doesn’t even remember what it is.

When a stranger joins up who has second sight, among other talents, Fred gets nervous. There are a lot of very strange beings, not to mention a succubus or two and some beings from hell. Welcome to a wild ride to damnation!

First Paragraph: The vehicle was a beat up well-travelled 1929 Ford school bus. It had been painted a bright red and said ‘Fred Dodger’s Circus’ on the side. Amid peeling paint, the image of ecstatic clowns was a bit pathetic looking. Curtains hung on each of the windows. Baby Alice had sewn them; now she sat outside with her pals waiting for the meat to be cooked.

She says: “Writing helps me to cope with the horrors that befall me. Writing tells a story and often the story is about different aspects of myself as well as observations I have made about other people. Everyone has a story and writers can explore and embellish those stories. It’s like a sanction to create whatever sort of world the author envisions. “
