Top Ten Tuesday is a meme started by Broke and Bookish. Click here to visit them and see a list of topics. Even if you can’t do one week’s, surely the next one will have something for you!

This week’s TTT is:

Books I Love, But Haven’t Talked About in a While

  1. Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. Not the whole series, mind you, but the first and second books were pretty awesome. You really feel for Odd, even as you can’t understand him AT ALL.
  2. Earth’s Children series. Absolutely hated the ending of the last book, but this is such a wonderful, immersive series rooted in pre-written history.
  3. Ice Hunt by James Rollins. Its got this whole “if you’ve read one, you’ve read them all” thing, but at the same time, Ice Hunt really is a thriller. Its utterly creepy, edge of your seat. I would freak out in that situation.
  4. Night of the Living Deed by E.J. Copperman. I have this as an audiobook, and its hilarious. The whole set-up is funny, the voice actor does a marvelous job, and its just entertaining from beginning to end.
  5. The Left Behind Series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Entertaining, follows Revelations decently enough, showcases redemption and forgiveness, etc. I just plain like them.
  6. The Xanth Series by Piers Anthony. ‘Coz, be still my punny heart. That’s why.
  7. Bird Box by Josh Malerman. I mean “A while” means like two weeks, right? Best dang horror book.
  8. Knight of a Trillion Stars by Dara Joy. ^^ See above ^^
  9. I…m. done. Sorry. Only had 8 in me. I’m picky about books I love and tend to talk about them very, very often.

Ppssssssssssttt: There’s also this one.

…You didn’t think a post about favorite books was not going to have The Martian mentioned in it, did you? Geesh.
