As usual, this meme is hosted by Broke and Bookish.

This one was hard, but brought a lot of smiles to mind when I was actually figuring out which ones I wanted to post. I begin and end with quotes from the same book because, well, it was basically the Bible for smart-ass quotes!

Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books (that I’ve read in the past year or so.)

Ezra: Okay, well for the benefit of the sight-impaired, I am now raising my… oh, dear… yes, it’s my MIDDLE finger at Mr. Postgrad here.

“In one of the earlier Sherlock Holmes mysteries, Arthur Conan Doyle (not yet a Sir) made an observation on logical deduction. When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

There is, however, a specific flaw in that maxim. It assumes people can recognize the difference between what is impossible and what they believe is impossible.”

  1. Hahahahahahahah I LOVE that Illuminae quote! I’m not sure if you’ve seen the Guardians of the Galaxy, but it reminds me a lot of Peter Quill (aka Chris Pratt)’s character in that film. So funny!

There’s also “Am I not merciful?” which is just a whole other level of terrifying … *hides*

      1. Honestly there are so many twist and turns that just pop out of nowhere in this book. One thing that I’m sure about is that Kady and Ezra are all kinds of adorable together haha.

  2. Great quotes!
Love the 5th Wave and The Knife of Never Letting Go.
I’m dying to read Illuminae. I recently just got it, so can’t wait to read it.
    🙂
