Top 5 Books to Read by the Fire (Winter/Holiday Recommendations)

Uhm… I guess this would be my ‘books that I re-read every year’ list more than anything, because during the winter I do tend to go back and re-read the same books for comfort. These tend to be trilogies+ so, I’m going to cheat a little bit. (As usual, no particular order.)

1.Three Sisters Island Trilogy by Nora Roberts

Dance Upon the Air (Three Sisters Island, #1)Heaven and Earth (Three Sisters Island Trilogy, #2)Face the Fire (Three Sisters Island, #3)

2. Key Trilogy by Nora Roberts

Key of Light (Key Trilogy, #1)Key of Knowledge (Key Trilogy, #2)Key of Valor (Key Trilogy, #3)

3. Bride Quartet by Nora Roberts

Vision in White (Bride Quartet, #1)Bed of Roses (Bride Quartet, #2)Savor the Moment (Bride Quartet, #3)Happy Ever After

Okay, so maybe winter makes me gooshy. *sigh*  There’s no hope in redeeming this list, is there? At least they’re not all going to be Nora Roberts.

4. Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1)Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2)Lover Awakened (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #3) (and so many more.)

…oh, oh, oh, hey, slight redemption! Now, admittedly, I only got turned onto this series last year, but I already know I’m going to be listening to it/reading it quite frequently during the winter. Excellent writing, great narrator when I’m listening to my audible book.

5. Surviving the Dead series by James N. Cook

No Easy Hope (Surviving the Dead, #1)This Shattered Land (Surviving the Dead, #2)Warrior Within (Surviving the Dead, #3)(and a few more.)

Well, there you have it. 4 series of mush and…a post-apocalypse series. Sounds about right.

  1. I’ve read all the Nora Roberts’ series. Oh heck, who am I kidding, I’ve read almost everything the woman has ever written. I especially loved the bride quartet. Enjoy and Merry Christmas to you!
