This Week in Books (WWW):

WWW is from Sam over at Taking on a World of Words, and this is also combination post as This Week in Books by Lipsyy is essentially the same thing.

Again, the top 5 for Wednesday was too hard for me to do as I so rarely walk away from a book. So, here’s your WWW/This Week in Books again! (psst: Click the book cover to be taken to the GoodReads page.)

What I’m Reading for Review:

Renaissance by Timothy Freriks

Progress: 25% | Opinion so far: I can already tell this is where Freriks will shine. (I know, much slower on this book than I normally am at reading. 🙁 )

Victor’s Heritage by Anthony Caplan

27073904

Progress: 10% | Opinion so far: A bit overly wordy, but interesting enough to make me keep reading

The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey

7171771

Progress: 50% | Opinion so far: Wonderful.

The Doll-Master and Other Tales of Terror by Joyce Carol Oates

268317291

Progress: 30% | Opinion so far: Weird, interesting, intriguing…

Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

23395680

Progress: 29% | Opinion so far: Its a great listen, but I’m ticked Audible bleeped out the curse words. Its distracting!!

  1. I can’t wait to read what you have to say about Illuminae! I’ve been hearing great things so far!

  2. I can’t imagine an audio book with the swear words bleeped out – how annoying!
The Monstrumologist is the best book title I’ve heard in ages. I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far and look forward to hearing more when you’ve finished. 🙂
Thanks for visiting my WWW post (https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2015/11/18/www-wednesday-18th-november-2015/) and happy reading!

  3. I have heard so much about Illuminae recently. It seems to be everywhere.

    • I had seen it here and there. The only reason I got it, tbh, is because it was the only one in the best seller list that looked interesting to me and I’ve started doing one popular book a month.

  4. Ayunda says:

Wow you’re reading so many books at the same time! How do you decided which book you’re going to read today? Hope you have fun with all the books you’re reading 😉

    • Some of it is decided by location. I might have a book on my phone for when I’m stuck somewhere without my computer or a hardback. Others I might read at work during down times, but depending on content…etc.

And part of it is just “In the mood for a wordy book” “In the mood for a spartan book” etc.

  • I love Audible. Tons of books, fantastic narrators, good prices.
