What’s it about?
A mouse who tries to take the easy path to getting a big fish learns a big lesson when things don’t go the way he thought they would.
My Review of Mouse with No Tail
The premise behind the story is fine. I like kids books that teach children lessons, and I know what this book was intending to do.
Unfortunately, as an enjoyable read, it just fell flat. Sometimes it rhymed, sometimes it didn’t. (I’m not sure if this book was originally published in the author’s native language and then translated for an English-speaking audience?? If so, some of these problems might be due to a translation problem.) The illustrations were decent, but a bit faded/dreary looking for a kids book.
This was just a bit bland, a tad awkward to read, and just really not a book that I would recommend for parents to pick up for their kids. There’s much better-written options out there.
