Bird Box Review (Supernatural Horror)

Bird Box Review

Bird Box: Something is out there, something terrifying that must not be seen. One glimpse of it, and a person is driven to deadly violence. No one knows what it is or where it came from.

Five years after it began, a handful of scattered survivors remains, including Malorie and her two young children. Living in an abandoned house near the river, she has dreamed of fleeing to a place where they might be safe. Now that the boy and girl are four, it’s time to go, but the journey ahead will be terrifying: twenty miles downriver in a rowboat–blindfolded–with nothing to rely on but her wits and the children’s trained ears. One wrong choice and they will die. Something is following them all the while, but is it man, animal, or monster?– Goodreads Synopsis

Bird Box Review

You know how sometimes you’ve seen this FANTASTIC trailer for a movie, and you can’t wait to watch it? So you go, all hyped, to watch a movie, only to realize that all the best parts were in the trailer? 5 Star Rated Beneath Claire's House ReviewBird Box is the trailer instead of the movie.

The author, Josh Malerman, (I couldn’t believe this was his first book!) gives you all the good and necessary parts, with none of the extraneous clutter. You never find out what the big bad is – because you don’t *need* to know. He leaves it to your imagination. You don’t have to put up with pages and pages of needless exposition and/or descriptions. You don’t have the ending wrapped up in a neat little bow for you. He gives you the best, most essential parts, and it is *perfect*.

Bird Box by Josh Malerman is one of the BEST horror/thriller books I have read in recent years, and I would HIGHLY recommend it. Get Bird Box now on Amazon. I’d be beyond shocked if you regretted it.
